Built inside an operator's network, not in a conference room
django-nms started as the production system of a fiber ISP in Kraków and went through the merger of several brands into one instance. Today we make it available to other operators.
- In production: invoices, e-invoicing, transfers, RADIUS, map
- Several selling entities in one database
- Data migration from LMS and from an in-house system done with the tools that are in the product
“We work in django-nms every day. In the morning I upload the bank statement and the vast majority of transfers land on customer accounts on their own; I only check the exceptions. Invoices go to the e-invoicing system in one run, and when a technician changes a plan, the new parameters are in RADIUS without anyone logging into a router.”
Netowski: fiber in Kraków on django-nms
Netowski builds FTTH in Kraków and offers symmetric 500 Mb/s and 1 Gb/s links to residential and business customers. In django-nms it runs the whole cycle: contracts from templates, invoices per contract with national e-invoicing, transfer posting from bank statements, FreeRADIUS provisioning to edge routers, session view and host map.
The rollout included merging data from several brands and systems (including LMS) into one multi-seller instance. The importers written for it are now part of the product.
Netowski is the first deployment and development partner of django-nms.
- Several brands, one database, separate invoice prefixes and e-invoicing credentials
- MikroTik and Cisco ASR in one network
- Customer service, finance and technicians in one panel, with different roles
